Services
Proof Read
Spell checking, grammar and punctuation refinement. This is not an editing service, simply a proof read to make sure you have minimised the presence of spelling errors and other mistakes. We can edit texts written in UK or US English.
Copyediting
Editing takes a lot of time and energy, we welcome work that has already been edited by you and advise that you come to us once you are confident enough with your manuscript to let it be read by a professional. If anything, this will save you money in the long run.
Print Book Formatting
We can format paperbacks and hardbacks to any rectangular or square design, we will provide a proforma to help you choose how best to present your work and you can send it to us along with your manuscript. Revisions are subject to the same hourly rate, unless it is our mistake, then we fix it for free.
E Book Formatting
We can format your ebook for you and provide epub, mobi and PDF files upon completion of the project. We will also offer 3 layout options for you to choose from, with various settings available we make sure you are content with the outcome.
Large Text Edition Book Formatting
Differentiating your book for those with visual impairments has never been more important in this diverse world aiming for equality of access. We can format your book easily so that it is ready for you to upload at the printers.
Cover Design
We are able to design a front cover for ebooks, as well as the covers for print books in all three print formats (hardback, paperback and large text edition). In special cases (i.e. for digital art design) the price will increase due to additional professional services rendered, which we can discuss before you make a choice.

Author Website Development
Anamaria.org is a great example of what we can do for you, it also reveals how the cost of this service is matched in quality and thoroughness. However, know that anamaria.org took 3 years to accomplish, should you want a simpler website, it can be ready in as little as 3 months. If you wish to design your own website and learn the ropes, we will support you for £46 an hour.
Publishing Partnership Package:
Traditional publishing houses lay claim to approximately 80% of book royalties and an agent takes roughly another 10%, while authors are compensated with a mere 5-15% of their own earnings. We see the book as a piece of you and treat it with such care as to imagine that every single book we publish is our own, therefore handling it with the same delicacy. We flip the advantage in the writer’s favour with a baseline of 62% of the royalties going to them and 38% to us. Contracts pending ‘high sales bonus’ reviews.
Book Printing
Our third party book printing partner offers multiple options when it comes to the size, shape and orientation of your product. With various specifications available we can help you print in the following formats:
- hardback (available in case laminate, cloth or jacketed);
- paperback (gloss or matt finish);
- ebook (mobi and epub);
- large text edition (for visually impaired readers).
Book Distribution
We distribute your book with the help of our third party partners and send you 80% of the royalties after the sale has been processed (usually 90 days after the month of the sale has closed). We support global distribution and offer access to thousands of vendors, including, but not limited to: Amazon, Apple, Waterstones, Barnes and Noble, Kobo Plus, Booktopia, and more. Your book will also be available to libraries, on Apps and ebooks may become available under partners’ subscription services.
Logo, A Vouch of Approval
Should you wish to legitimise your already published work by ‘branding it’ with our imprint logo, F.I.C., we invite you to use our logo. This is only available to those wishing to publish to an approved standard as the brand is a mark of quality and integrity in the world of print and digitised publishing. Therefore, you will need to submit your publication for quality control purposes, even where already self-published. Every book printed with our logo and distributed by us must be submitted for one (paid for) copy-edit and proof read, just to ensure your work is aligned with our standards.
In-House Author Web Page
Instead of reserving a domain and forking out for the cost of running your own author platform we invite clients to lease a webpage with us, we can even include a contact form so that your readership are able to contact you directly. You have utter autonomy over the content of the page and it can go live once it has been approved by our quality control team. Belonging to a community is a powerful thing as a self-publishing author and we open the door to a new home for you here. This service will also free up more time to write as you forgo the management of digital spaces.
* Our Publishing Partnership Package is subject to hourly rates related to a single process of copy-editing and proofreading; as well as formatting and cover design costs, thus ensuring the book meets the specification criteria for the printers; and a minimum print and distribution contract of two years.
